Description
Sweetbay magnolia is a multi-stemmed tree growing to be around 20 feet tall. Lemon scented white cup-shaped flowers appear in mid spring, and eventually produce cone-like fruit with red seeds in the fall. Green waxy foliage is silver underneath, and these trees are semi-deciduous. Excellent choice for planting in lawns or to use as a shrub border.
