Description
- Sweetbay Magnolia trees can grow 0–35 ft. tall, 10–35 ft. wide
- Best if has full sun exposure to partial shade. Optimal 6-8 hours of sun for optimal blooming.
- Prefers wet moist soil and can even tolerate clay soils.
- Acidic soil type with a pH between 5.5 and 6.5. If you notice the leaves turning yellow, it’s a good indication that the pH levels in the soil are too alkaline and should be amended.
- Blooming starts in late spring to early summer with white-colored flowers
