At the River’s Edge Field Trip Program
At the River’s Edge provides students with interactive, outdoor science and history education opportunities.
Our goal is to give teachers and students a safe, fun, hands-on experience that will inspire respect and stewardship for the Rappahannock and its watershed. Our curriculum is aligned with the VA Standards of Learning and National Science Standards and includes programs suitable for preschool through high school and beyond. Descriptions of our programs and registration information follow. Please contact us at [email protected] for more information.
Summer Camp Program
Kids on the Rappahannock is a summer day camp that fuses environmental education and river recreation. Each level features activities that are developmentally appropriate and build river recreation skills. Join us for some good, old River fun this summer!
For most of our camps we will be transporting campers to and from the river as long as our State guidelines for COIVD-19 say it is safe to do so. We will not be transporting Jr. River Rangers, they stay onsite.
Contact – [email protected] to see about availability, or to register. Camps fill up fast but please inquire about the waiting list!
