Join Friends of the Rappahannock (FOR) and George Washington Regional Commission (GWRC) staff to learn more about the Virginia Conservation Assistance Program (VCAP). We will be at Machodoc Creek Cafe In Dahlgren from 4pm to 6pm.
The Virginia Conservation Assistance Program (VCAP) is an urban cost-share program administered by Tri-County/City Soil & Water Conservation District that provides financial incentives and technical and educational assistance to residential and commercial property owners installing eligible Best Management Practices (BMPs) such as living shorelines, rain gardens and conservation landscaping etc). These practices can address areas where erosion, poor drainage, or poor vegetation occur.
Rainfall or snowmelt from roads, parking lots, sidewalks, homes, and offices pick up natural and human-made pollutants, depositing them into our streams, lakes and rivers. VCAP can help with this problem.
THIS EVENT IS CANCELED.
