Hello, nature enthusiasts!
Through the collaborative efforts of Friends of the Rappahannock and Waterkeepers Chesapeake, this position was established to support initiatives throughout the York watershed and neighboring coastal basins, including the Piankatank River and Mobjack Bay. These initiatives include restoration efforts through the installation of living shorelines and tree plantings in residential and agricultural landscapes, as well as education for students and adults on stewardship, and advocacy alongside others to address watershed impacts.
I have always loved being a part of Virginia’s outdoors. Growing up in the Northern Neck, I have spent many days enjoying the land, water, and wildlife, and I understand the importance of preserving Virginia’s natural resources. I couldn’t be more thankful to grow in this watershed alongside wonderful advocates for the environment. I hope to connect with many of you in the future, whether in the office or my personal favorite, outdoors.
