River Explorers at Float on Farms

Located at the beautiful Float on Farms, rising 5th through 7th graders spend the day exploring the banks of the Robinson River in our River Explorers Summer Camp. Campers will learn about native wildlife, complete projects that support our native ecosystems, and enjoy many river activities, including tubing, hiking, and a morning of paddling at Mountain Run Lake Park! We will be on the river every day, recreating while becoming stewards of one of the Rappahannock River’s favored tributaries. If you love jumping into rivers and having fun while learning about our natural world, we hope you’ll join us for our inaugural full-day summer camp! To ensure safety on and off the river, our camps have less than 12 campers each week and provide life jackets that your camper will wear anytime in the river.
River Rangers is a full-day camp from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Pick up and drop off are at Float on Farms (38.348672, -78.116564) across from the Inn and Tavern at Meander (2333 N James Madison Hwy, Locust Dale, VA 22948).
