Summer Camp Adventures

 

Summer Camps Across the Watershed!

Summer Camps are available at| Fredericksburg | Crow’s Nest | Riverside Preserve | Float on Farms

Friends of the Rappahannock Summer Camp is a day camp that fuses environmental education and river recreation. Each level features activities that are developmentally appropriate for that age group and builds river recreation skills from level to level. Join us for some river fun this summer!

YOU MUST FILL OUT ALL HEALTH & WAIVER FORMS BEFORE REGISTRATION CHECKOUT. 

PARENTS/GUARDIANS: During checkout, you will sign a waiver, photo release, and agree that your child can adhere to the following Essential Eligibility Criteria to participate in this camp.

Essential Eligibility Criteria:

  • Breathe independently (i.e., not require medical devices to sustain breathing)
  • Independently maintain sealed airway passages while underwater
  •  Independently hold head upright without neck/head support
  • Manage personal care independently or with the assistance of a companion
  • Manage personal mobility independently or with a reasonable amount of
    assistance
  • Follow instructions and effectively communicate independently or with
    assistance of a companion
  • Independently turn from face-down to face-up and remain floating face up
    while wearing a properly fitted life jacket*

 

  • Get on / off or in/out of a paddlecraft independently or with a reasonable
    amount of assistance*
  • Independently get out and from under a capsized paddlecraft*
  • Remount or reenter the paddlecraft following a deep water capsize
    independently or with a reasonable amount of assistance*
  • Maintain a safe body position while attempting skills and activities, and can recognize and
    identify to others when such efforts would be unsafe, given your personal
    situation*

Fredericksburg Summer Camp

We have been hosting this camp for decades! Camp pick up and drop off is at our Headquarters Office in FXBG at 3219 Fall Hill Ave, Fredericksburg, VA 22401

Crow’s Nest Summer Camps

Crow’s Nest Summer Camps are run by FOR but held at Crow’s Nest Research Center on the banks of the Accokeek Creek in Stafford.
