Are you a First Responder in the Rappahannock watershed? The Virginia Outdoor Center, in partnership with Friends of the Rappahannock, is offering Firefighters, EMTs, Law Enforcement, and Medical Personnel who work within the watershed an opportunity to bring their immediate family out for paddling on any Saturday in July for a FREE paddling experience at Fredericksburg City Dock. All equipment, including life jackets, boats, and paddles, is supplied. No prior paddling experience is necessary. Just bring closed-toed shoes you don’t mind getting wet and a waterbottle.

Any personnel interested in this must be able to provide a valid work identification in one of the jurisdictions below and are REQUIRED to book a two-hour (FREE) time slot with the Virginia Outdoor Center by calling (540) 371- 5085.
