Friends of the Rappahannock is proud to partner with Northern Neck Soil and Water Conservation District and Bay Quest charters to offer a professional development opportunity to teachers for a boat day on the Bay Quest!
The Bay Quest is the perfect classroom for ecology and marine study groups. Charter us to examine oyster habitat, take water samples, catch live marine specimens, and explore the ecosystem of the Chesapeake Bay. It is scheduled for June 2nd, 2026 from 8:15 am – 3:00 pm, at the Coan River Marina. Available on a first come, first serve basis – limited to 20 participants.

July 16, 2026 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm: Project Learning Tree (Forest, Water, and People) & Project WET (Climate, Water, & Resilience) @ Westmoreland State Park ~ Middle and High School Focus
July 21, 2026 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm: Project Learning Tree (Trees & Me), Project WILD (Growing Up WILD), & Project WET (Getting Little Feet Wet) @ Cat Point Creek Nature Refuge ~ PreK-2nd grade
