Friends of the Rappahannock is partnering with the Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC) and Trout Unlimited to bring the Wild and Scenic Film Festival back to Fredericksburg for the 4th year in a row!
This Film Festival travels on tour across the country and offers over 100 films to host at the hundreds of events nationwide. This event is a wonderful opportunity for all ages to enjoy a broad spectrum of environmentally themed films about a wide range of causes and issues from across the globe.
We invite you to join us, our partners, and sponsors at Paragon Village 12 theater on March 21, 2015. The Film Festival is more than just a time to watch amazing films. It is a time to learn! We will have local, regional, and national partners at the Film Festival showcasing the amazing work they do. They will have information about their work and programs and be available for questions before and during the Festival.
As a special treat, we have included a special showing of our film Rappahannock following the Wild and Scenic Film portion of the festival. This film showcases the history, beauty, and issues facing our wonderful Rappahannock River and includes footage and interviews from across the watershed from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Chesapeake Bay.
Film offerings are appropriate for all ages and students are encouraged to attend.
