BRAEHEAD WOODS AND MORNINGSIDE
STORMWATER IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
Tree Fredericksburg, Friends of the Rappahannock and the City of Fredericksburg are working to address stormwater challenges in Braehead Woods, Morningside, and nearby neighborhoods. To do this, we are offering free trees and reduced-price rain barrels to residents of these neighborhoods.
HOW TO OBTAIN FREE TREES AND REDUCED COST RAIN BARRELS
Free trees are available for residents of Braehead Woods, Morningside, and surrounding neighborhoods. Trees naturally filter and absorb water, and keep our waterways healthy by reducing the amount of sediment and nutrients that flow into them. They also conserve energy and address heat island effect by shading homes and yards during the hot summer months. Register for free trees using the Sign Up Form below.
Discounted Rain Barrels: Rain Barrels help capture stormwater and conserve water which can be used for backyard plants. Residents of qualifying neighborhoods receive discounted pricing on rain barrels. See Sign Up Form below for details.
Supply is limited. Sign up today to reserve your trees and rain barrels.
