Wild & Scenic Film Festival – CANCELED
March 22 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm$15 – $50
Film Festival – CANCELED
Due to COVID-19 and the University of Mary Washington’s announcement to close campus for the next several weeks, we must cancel this event.
This would have been our 10th year hosting the Wild & Scenic Film Festival and we are disappointed that we cannot host it this year. We look forward to a new date in 2021.
Wild & Scenic Film Festival showcases the juxtaposition of our beautiful, yet rugged environment, the unique plants and animals that inhabit it and the people who work to protect it!
Through these stunningly beautiful films you will be inspired to explore the wild places in your own backyard and around the world. Climate change, public lands, invasive species and community advocacy are addressed in a manner that will leave you empowered to confront threats facing our rivers, oceans, forests and deserts. Join us and become a partner in protecting the health and scenic beauty of the Rappahannock for future generations.
All students can attend for free. The event will be held in Chandler Ballroom at the University of Mary Washington.

Oyster Roast Party – RESCHEDULED TO NOV 14 HAZEL RUN CONCERT
Hazel Run is a beloved local band who hosts an annual benefit concert at the Gari Melchers historic venue. We will postpone this oyster roast party and incorporate it into our VIP concert experience.
Join us for a backyard oyster roast before the Wild & Scenic Film Festival. We’ll be serving up Rappahannock River oysters, roasted, fried, and raw. The bar will have bloody marys and mimosas. Additional vegetarian options will be available.
Guest speaker John Tippett, former Executive Director Friends of the Rappahannock, will be reflecting on FOR’s 35 years of protecting the health and beauty of the Rappahannock River.
Each VIP ticket includes all you can eat oysters, a choice of beer, wine or cocktail, and film festival admission. Catering provided by In the Red.
A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS
