VOLUNTEER – Urbanna Oyster Festival

Friends of the Rappahannock needs oyster restoration volunteers for the Urbanna Oyster Festival!
In 2023, we took on the task of recycling as much oyster shell from the Urbanna Oyster Festival as possible and it was a feat!! We recycled over 250 BUSHELS!! We are looking for volunteers to help sustain this goal for 2024 at the historic Urbanna Oyster Festival (over 50,00 guests!).

Where? Urbanna Oyster Festival You can meet at the Friends of the Rappahannock tent at the Festival, which is down by the waterfront – you can’t miss it!
What? Help monitor and transport oyster shell throughout the even

Friday (11/1) Volunteer Slots
- 9am-Noon
- Noon-3pm
- 3-6pm
Saturday (11/2) Volunteer Slots
- 6-8am **Labor intensive shift! Lots of boxes of oyster shell being moved from previous day
- 8am-11:30am
- 11:30am-3pm
- 3-6pm
