* This event has been moved to the rain date of Sunday March 26th *
Join us on Sunday March 26th for a day of planting trees at Old House Vineyards! From 10am – 3pm FOR staff will be on site to help plant 400 native trees and shrubs along Mountain Run, a tributary to the Rappahannock River Watershed. FOR will provide gloves, tools, and planting material. Just bring your work boots, sunscreen and water to join us for a day at the vineyard helping to maintain a restoration project. All ages are welcome and all attendees must have a signed waiver. Waivers will be provided at the event.
The process of tree planting requires scalping to remove grass around the planting area, digging holes, planting of the seedlings, and installing tree shelters and wooden stakes.
Afterwards, enjoy a pint of beer courtesy of the staff at Old House Vineyards!
