Sperryville Community Cleanup

April 17, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

The Sperryville Community Alliance, Friends of the Rappahannock, and RappFLOW – Rappahannock Friends and Lovers of Our Watersheds are excited to sponsor this year’s Sperryville Community Clean-up to be held on Saturday, April 17 starting at 9:00 am.

We plan a COVID-friendly Earth Day-related clean up with social distancing, fresh air, and mask wearing by participants. This year, we plan to tackle three areas:
(1) the growing network of Sperryville walking trails
(2) litter along Sperryville’s scenic local roads
(3) trash and debris in the Thornton River.

We are looking for recommendations from residents on which local roads we should make a priority, suggestions can be sent to [email protected]. We are also looking for volunteer captains to lead groups.
We will meet at the field next to Headmaster’s Pub at 9:00 am for distribution of gloves, tools, bags, assignments, and coffee. Keep an eye on the Alliance’s Facebook page for further details.
THANK YOU TO OUR EVENT PARTNERS
