Sipping for Saplings: DuCard Vineyard Tree Give Away

October 17 @ 12:00 pm - November 30 @ 6:00 pm

Two people planting small tree in dirt

Do you like drinking wine and protecting our Rappahannock Watershed?

Join us at the beautiful DuCard Vineyards where your wine bottle purchase helps us plant trees.

Receive a free tree to plant at your home with every bottle of DuCard wine you purchase to take home between October 17-November 30. We’re giving away 1,000 redbud trees.

Along with the giving away Saplings with your wine purchase, Friends of the Rappahannock will be present to kick off the Sipping for Saplings Campaign on October 17th. We will have information on how you too can protect and preserve your Rappahannock River and watershed.

October 17 (12-6 pm): Kick-off the Sipping for Saplings Campaign with Friends of the Rappahannock staff. We’ll demonstrate how to plant trees correctly and share tips & tricks on how to keep your trees healthy.

November 1 (12-6 pm): Fun for the whole family. FOR Environmental Educators will have educational activities at DuCard for kids of all ages.

This project was made possible with funding from the following partners: DuCard Vineyards, the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, and Rappahannock Electric Cooperative.
