Roast for the River

November 13, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Free – $70.00

Join Friends of the Rappahannock as we partner with the Inn & Tavern at Meander for a Volunteer Tree Planting and Oyster Roast on November 13th.

Plant trees with FOR staff on the Inn at Meander’s property from 9AM – 12 PM and get a FREE ticket to the Oyster Roast Cocktail Party. We have limited spots for the Volunteer planting, so make sure you register as a Volunteer today to save your spot!

At 12:30 PM, the Inn and Tavern at Meander will open their doors for the Oyster Roast Cocktail Party! This Oyster Roast will feature oysters from different Rappahannock oyster growers. Don’t worry, there will be dishes available for your non-oyster loving friends as well.

Enjoy a delicious cocktail style menu created by the amazing Inn & Tavern at Meander’s chef. Indulge in oysters prepared a variety of ways; raw, fried, roasted and Rockefeller. This will not be an event you want to miss out on! WAR Craft Brewery and DuCard Vineyards have partnered with the event to make this Oyster Roast the event of the season. Learn about how the oyster industry in the Rappahannock benefits from all the restoration work done on the Upper Rappahannock and Rapidan Rivers.

**Every ticket will receive two complimentary drink tickets. Additional drink tickets will be $5 and can be bought at the event.

Thank you to our sponsors for making this event possible!
