Have you always wanted to learn how to shuck oysters or become more familiar with oysters from the Rappahannock River? This oyster experience is crafted for both oyster-lovers and anyone who wants to learn how to enjoy oysters.
Buy an oyster package that includes raw oysters, a shucking knife, oyster toppings, recipe cards and access to a virtual tasting experience. Each package will include oysters from three different oyster companies working in the Rappahannock River.
The virtual discussion will by led by Lower River Steward Anne Self and include an oyster shucking demonstration and a discussion about the history of oysters, how they grow, and the impact of FOR’s oyster reef restoration program.
You can choose between a 24-count oyster package or a 75-count oyster package. Register for which location you’d like to pick up your oyster package.

Lower River Steward Anne Self will demonstrate how to shuck oysters, favorite ways to prepare them, and discuss the history of oysters in the Chesapeake Bay and the impact of current oyster reef restoration efforts.
