Land Stewardship and Caring for Creation with Dr. Allen Williams

April 5, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Friends of the Rappahannock is pleased to offer an incredible opportunity to join Dr. Allen Williams from Understanding Ag while he is here in Virginia as he donates his time, passion, and expertise leading a discussion on Biblical Land Stewardship and what the Bible tells us about our role as Earth’s caretakers. Being good stewards of our land and natural resources is an interfaith and non-partisan priority across the globe and we work very hard to offer resources to residents across the region.

Dr. Williams is a 6th generation family farmer and founding partner of Grass Fed Insights, LLC, Understanding Ag, LLC and the Soil Health Academy. He has consulted with more than 4000 farmers and ranchers in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, South America, and other countries, on operations ranging from a few acres to over 1 million acres.

Understanding Ag is a regenerative agricultural consulting company that provides the support and confidence to help clients reduce input costs, generate actual profits and ensure family farming futures. They accomplish this by educating and mentoring farmers, ranchers, landowners, businesses, and communities in the principles and practices needed to restore, repair, rebuild, regenerate their farming and ranching ecosystems.

Friends of the Rappahannock, American Farmland Trust, and our local conservation partners have a wide range of technical assistance, cost-share, and other resources to help agricultural producers and landowners maximize conservation outcomes on their working lands and forests. Healthy soils and clean water lead to productive farms, forests, and income.

We are blessed to live and work in an incredible region. We are called to be good stewards. Come join us at Inskeep Hall to learn more.

Dinner and refreshments will be provided thanks to generous donations. Big thank you to Bull Run Hunt for their support for this event!

Registration is required.
