FOR’s restoration team is in the process of getting the Rappahannock Conservation Nursery ready for the spring and we’d love your help! Some tasks on the to-do list are:
- trash/removal clean-up
- pot organization, counting, and sanitation
- removing excess material from hoop house
- unrooting current nursery stock (specifically redbuds) & transplanting them to larger pots
- Pruning and upkeep of current stock
This event is a great way to learn something new, test your skills, get your hands dirty and get active this winter! It is also a great opportunity to meet our new Restoration Coordinator, Alaina!
Volunteers 16 and under must have a guardian on site.

This work is outdoors at our tree nursery, so be sure to bring closed-toed shoes, appropriate clothing for the weather and water. FOR will provide gloves and tools as needed but you are more than welcome to bring your own
