2021 Annual Big Fall Cleanup – CANCELED

LITTER CLEAN-UP DETAILS

Join Friends of the Rappahannock and Fredericksburg Parks, Recreation and Events for our annual Big Fall Cleanup, sponsored by the Fredericksburg Nationals.

Volunteers should please meet at Old Mill Park at 9am, and are welcome to stay and enjoy a free catered lunch served at noon courtesy of Dickey’s BBQ. All materials including gloves, bags and litter grabbers are provided. Water and snacks will be provided during the cleanup, but please bring a reusable water bottle to reduce plastic use.

Participants of all ages are welcome. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All participants are required to sign a liability waiver. If under 18, a parent or guardian must sign a waiver for them.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. PLEASE RSVP BELOW to RESERVE YOUR SPOT.

COSTUME COMPETITION!

ARE YOU EXCITED FOR THIS LITTER CLEAN UP? Show your passion for our Rappahannock by wearing your favorite costume to the litter clean up!  Photos will be taken of the costumes at check in and judges will announce the winners during lunch.

The three winning categories will be:

  • Best Overall Costume- Adults (16 years old +)
  • Best Overall Costume Child (0- 15 years old)
  • Best River Inspired Costume (All ages) : This costume can be your favorite river creature or plant, showcase your love of recycling, litter clean ups, or anything else you can imagine
