See you at Riverfest next year!

September 21, 2024

Riverfest is a time for river lovers of all kinds to come together and celebrate! This several decade long tradition was born to celebrate what we all have accomplished together while raising funds to continue that work for the Rappahannock River and our community.

RIVERFEST FAQs

What does Riverfest support?

We’ve been hosting Riverfest for 33 years. It is our signature fundraiser and all the money raised directly supports our mission to be a voice and active force for a healthy and scenic Rappahannock River.

Your generous support enables us to be a voice for the river through our advocacy program, reduce pollution through restoration projects, and educate the next generation of river stewards.

What about if there is a low regional crab count?

Rappahannock Riverfest has always been the regions best crab feast supplied by local and regional crab availability. Should the crab population not increase significantly by the event, a limited amount of crabs and/or alternatives such as fried catfish and oysters will be available instead in addition to the BBQ provided.

I was given a Riverfest ticket from someone and when I go to receive it, event.gives says 'there's already an account with my email' but I don't have a password. What should I do?
When you go to log in, select ‘Email pin’ to the right of “Forgot password?” You will then be emailed a pin to create a password for the account associated with your email. You can then access your tickets at any time there and are able to bid on silent auction items!
How is FOR making Riverfest a "Green" Event?

FOR is committed to eliminating single use plastic at Riverfest. Dishes, flatware, cups and food scraps will all be composted with Apex Organics. All other items will be recyclable (such as soda cans and water). There will also be an option to purchase reusable wine or beer cups!

I can't find my ticket!

No worries! We will have staff and volunteers able to pull up any missing tickets at the entrance. We will also send out a link to all ticket holders the day of Riverfest so you can easily access it.

Can I bring my pet?

No. We know how much you love your furry, scaley, or feathery friends, but for health and safety of the event, we ask you to not bring your pets.

**ADA certified service animals are the only exception. ** SEE SERVICE DOG DEFINITION HERE

Can I bring my children?

Children are not encouraged to come to the event. If you choose to bring your child, they must have a ticket unless they are under 1 year old.

Who do I contact for help?

Contact Lis Heras at  [email protected] | 540-373-3448 x 152 if you have questions about tickets, sponsorship, auction or raffle item donations or general Riverfest inquiries.

Where do I park?

The VRE G &H Lot  (FREE) or the Sophia Street Parking Garage ($2 Fee). We will have shuttles running to both locations continuously.
