Park Service Historian, Greg Mertz, will lead this canoe trip through the history of the Civil War from the river's perspective. Travel from Germanna to Ely's Ford by canoe and paddle an 8-mile stretch of the Rappahannock that is rich with history! As you paddle, you will stop at several sites along the way to learn about how the Rappahannock played a significant role in shaping Civil War events. This trip fills up fast, so register early!
